Based in the heart of Derbyshire, Templar Poetry is a new independent press which publishes excellent contemporary poetry and facilitates and promotes wider access to poetry in the community.

Templar Poetry draws on the experience of a committed and informed Advisory Panel with eclectic professional backgrounds in publishing, journalism, broadcast media, the music industry and the visual arts. We bring a refreshing and unfettered approach to publishing poetry and are committed to ensuring that poetry engages with new readers.

The Way I Dressed During The Revolution is an assured debut collection by Jane Weir, a poet whose work has been widely admired and recognised by her peers. This collection has been shorlisted for the Glen Dimplex New Writers Award (www.newwriters award.i.e.), and is sensuous, startling and courageous – rare in contemporary poetry and introduces a new voice that is coupled with a fierce intelligence.

Arnemetia is a Derbyshire Community Anthology drawn from over five hundred poems entered in the first Derbyshire Anthology competition that ran through the spring of this year and it is a surprising snapshot of the quality and range of poetry being written in Derbyshire today.
