Synopsis
Valerie Laws is Writer in Residence at a London Pathology Museum, part of her Wellcome Trust Arts Award funded project (with artist Susan Aldworth) working with scientists on the process of dying. She's a poet, performer, playwright for stage and BBC radio, and sci-art specialist: she gained international press coverage for her Quantum Sheep project, in which she spray painted poetry onto live sheep, in order to reflect the principles of quantum physics - and create random haikus. The project provided the title of her second collection, Quantum Sheep, published by Peterloo Poets in Autumn 2006, and now available once again from Red Squirrel. Valerie lives on the North East coast and has published seven books, including The Rotting Spot, her first crime novel, from Red Squirrel.
