Aldo Vianello

Aldo Vianello was born in 1937 in Pellestrina, a fishing
village in the Venetian lagoon. He has continued to live
and write in Venice. He has published more than twenty
books of prose and poetry, extending his range without
losing the delicate lyrical quality which is the hallmark of
his style. Ezra Pound wrote: ‘Mi piace l’onestà della sua
poesia, che riflette un’anima. Anch’io amo Venezia, le
auguro felicità.’ (I like the honesty of your poetry, which
reflects a spirit. I too love Venice, I wish him happiness.’)
